Tess graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International studies. She went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law in 2017 and was admitted as a practitioner at the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in early 2018. Tess was admitted as a practitioner at the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2020 after relocating from New South Wales.
Tess has worked predominantly in the area of family law since her admission to practice in 2018. Prior to this she worked as a family law paralegal in a busy firm on the Central Coast of New South Wales. During her undergraduate studies, Tess gained valuable legal experience working in the South Australian Parliament.
Tess has broad experience in family law, having acted in parenting matters involving serious issues of risk, alienation and allegations of abuse. Tess is also experienced in property and financial settlements along with spousal maintenance and child support. She regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court and is motivated to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Tess works hard to settle matters through negotiation and mediation, and where litigation is necessary, Tess is a strong advocate and guides her clients through what can be a confusing and overwhelming legal system.
